This 4-bedroom, 5-bath home was designed by architect Pat Killen and built in 2002. The 3,448 square-foot home has stunning ocean views, a glass elevator and 4-car garage. The Sand Section lot is 2,400 square feet. It last sold in 2005 for $4,300,000.
This Tree Section home was designed by Patrick Killen, AIA and built in 2005. It just sold in June 2010 for $1,950,000. True to the street name, this 3-bedroom, 4-bath home has great views in all directions.
It turns out that single-car entry to a multi-car garage is not that new to the Hill Section (see News blog post from June 1 – “New Hill Section Homes Minimize Garage Access”). This custom home at 526 John Street in the Hill Section is an earlier example of the hidden parking concept. The home was designed by Architect Patrick Killen and built in 1992. Its single-car entry provides access to underground parking for six cars. The owner said at that time there was one other Manhattan Beach home with a similar parking solution, but it did not have a door to the parking garage.
This home is currently for sale (listing courtesy of Paul Fasoli, Paradise Realtors), offered at $3,795,000. It is open for viewing Sunday, June 6 from noon to 4 pm – see it if you can. The home definitely has a circular theme going and some wonderful ocean views. It has a Hollywood feel and looks like something you might see on television. Oh wait, it was used for filming CSI: Miami. Contact Janie Sue Nagy – 310.707.8762 or Janie.nagy@shorewood.com, if you would like help finding the Best Manhattan Beach Home for you.
